Illegal gambling activities at Farmington club were recently detected by the police that had to close the place. Malsia Social Club situated on Grand River has been practicing illegal gambling for quite a while now, accumulating large sums of money sizing up to $12,000, which were successfully impounded from it.
The club was launched in December and was one of the four operated Albanina social clubs located in metro Detroit. In the same month, a similar club in Shelby Township was shut down.
Several people were charged in illicit gambling, Deda Dresavic, Smaillj Nikovic, Laurant Metko, Martin Vilaj and Preka Gojlaj, and one of them appeared to have run a gambling house in Southfield, according to the report of the police. Club members revolted saying that police had no rights to swoop onto the place without any search warrant. One of the seized man reported that police members just walked in ordering everybody to empty their pockets.
