BET FOR A CURE: HOLLYWOOD HOLD'EM TOURNAMENT to Be Held at the World Famous Hollywood Park Casino Benefiting the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Prog
On November 17th, you can bet on finding a cure for cancer by placing a bet at Hollywood Park Casino. The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program, a division of The T.J. Martell Foundation, will be hosting its inaugural Texas Hold'Em Tournament and Casino night; bringing together an eclectic group of people from the music and entertainment industries for hours of Vegas-style gambling fun!
The BET FOR A CURE HOLLYWOOD HOLD'EM TOURNAMENT AND CASINO NIGHT will begin with an opening reception in a private room at Hollywood Park Casino at 7pm including food and drinks then continue with a 150-player regulation-style Texas Hold'Em tournament from 8pm-12 midnight. For a $500 tournament entry fee, participants will have a chance to win a $10,000 CASH PRIZE for first place. Other prizes include a Club Med trip for two to Cancun and a trip for two to the Dominican Republic. Non-tournament players can enjoy additional casino card games such as Blackjack and 3-card Poker, various
raffles, and music courtesy of The Abe Froman Showmen for a "Casino Night" entry fee of $50.00.
High-profile attendees comprised of talent, top managers, agents, attorneys, and executives from the music, sports and entertainment industries are expected. The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program is known for incorporating high-profile celebrities into their fund-raising efforts. Past event attendees have included Britney Spears, Matthew Perry, Scott Foley, and
Linkin' Park. There will also be corporate sponsorship opportunities available for logo inclusion, product sampling and private tables for those who are interested. "I am ecstatic about having a chance to incorporate young Hollywood with the philanthropic causes my family has championed and supported
for more than 20 years," said Evan Bogart, committee Chair and son of the late Neil Bogart.

About The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program
In 1983, Joyce Bogart Trabulus founded the Bogart Pediatric Research Program in memory of her late husband Neil Bogart, founder of Casablanca Records and Filmworks, who died of Lymphoma at age 39. The program is dedicated to cutting edge hands-on research into the diagnosis, treatment, care, and cure of pediatric cancer, leukemia, and AIDS. The Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is home to the five Bogart Laboratories whose researchers are continuously making landmark discoveries in many fields. The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program is comprised of professionals in the entertainment industry who are dedicated to making a difference and has as it's primary purpose the financial support of the national research programs of the T.J. Martell Foundation. For more information, please visit the Web-site at http://www.TJMartellFoundation.org.

About The T.J. Martell Foundation
With the help of a small group of fellow music industry executives, Tony Martell founded the T.J. Martell Foundation in memory of his 19-year-old son who lost his battle with leukemia. Since then, more than $175 million has been raised by the Martell Foundation, which includes The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program in Los Angeles, the research facilities at Sloan-Kettering and Mt. Sinai in New York, and the Frances Williams Preston
Laboratories at Vanderbilt Cancer Center in Nashville, to grant seed money to researchers to explore pathways unencumbered by grant restrictions. For more information, please visit the Web-site at http://www.TJMartellFoundation.org.
